LEAD QA ANALYST (Posted 03/15/2010)
The Lead Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for the test planning and execution of large application development projects. Responsibilities include test planning, test execution, regression testing, defect tracking and reporting. The QA Analyst must be able to work from package builds as well as place individual files for testing and packaging hot fixes. The ideal candidate must be able to work under pressure, prioritize responsibilities and follow through on open items to resolution. The Lead QA Analyst will work with the operations and development teams to streamline, integrate, and continuously improve the effectiveness of the Software Development Lifecycle and subsequent software quality deliverables to the user community and assist in the determination of go, no-go product version rollouts based on quantitative assessments.
Successful candidates must have 3 to 5 years of systems development and testing experience, with at least 3 years in a focused Quality Control and Test Planning role. Extensive testing on both thick and web based applications is required.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Vista, XP, Server 2003, and SQL 2005.
- Experience in Server 2008 64 bit, Windows 7 and Oracle operating systems is preferred.
- Experience in VB script, Visio, and xml is a big plus.
Written/Verbal Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to interact in a team as well as leadership role/environment.
Job Specific Skills: - Strong analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail. Proven ability to write detailed test plans from functional and technical design documentation. Candidate must be a self-starter and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
